Hollow PP Fiber for fire prevention and crack resistance of concrete

Hollow PP Fiber is a new type of engineering fiber with both crack resistance and explosion resistance, and its cross section is hollow.

Hollow PP Fiber is distributed in three-dimensional random direction in concrete, which can control the cracking of concrete. In case of fire, these unique hollow fibers can become the escape channel of high-pressure water vapor in concrete, thus greatly improving the fire and explosion resistance of concrete.

Product application

Hollow PP Fiber is suitable for concrete buildings and structures with high fire rating, especially for concrete projects with difficulties in fire fighting and evacuation.

■ Road tunnels, railway tunnels. These tunnels are generally far away from the city, there is no reliable fire water source, and the traffic flow in the tunnel is complex. In the absence of structural fire prevention measures, the concrete with a thickness of 30-50cm in the tunnel right collapse in the fire 30min.

■ Shopping malls, office buildings, museums, libraries and other public buildings, high-rise buildings. These buildings have high floors, dense personnel, spread quickly in case of fire, and have a huge loss of lives and properties in the fire.


Technological advantage

During the fire, steam will be formed inside the concrete. Due to the low permeability of the concrete, the water vapor can not escape, and they gather in the concrete and form high pressure, which eventually leads to the explosive damage of the concrete cover.

Hollow PP Fiber has a unique hollow structure, which is distributed in a three-dimensional random direction in concrete. When encountered with open fire, the hollow structure of the fiber immediately becomes a channel for water vapor to escape. When the flame causes the concrete to rise continuously and exceeds the melting point of Hollow PP 160℃, the fiber melts and forms a wider water vapor escape channel, and the rapid escape of water vapor avoids the burst of concrete in the fire environment. Adding appropriate amount of Hollow PP Fiber, to concrete it can improve the anti-crack and anti-seepage ability of concrete at ordinary times, but in the event of fire, it can improve the fire resistance and fire safety of concrete.


Explosion-proof test

Hollow PP Fiber can significantly improve the fireproof performance of concrete, thus obtaining excellent anti-bursting effect. The following pictures show the comparative effect of the fire test of Hollow PP Fiber and ordinary concrete at 1200 ℃ for 120min.

Use method

■ Hollow PP Fiber can be added in the concrete mixing station, and the mixing time should be extended appropriately to make the fiber disperse evenly.

■ The recommended content of Hollow PP Fiber is 1.2kg/m ³.


Packaging mode

Hollow PP Fiber is a color plastic bag, containing independent small packaging, the small package weight is 1200g/ bag or according to the actual needs of customers to design packaging.


Quality standard and certification

■ Hollow PP Fiber production conforms to ISO9001 quality management certification system.

■ Pioneer fiber series products are not included in the list of dangerous goods stipulated by 1272/2008/EC.


Matters needing attention

■ The plastic bag should not be fed directly, the package should be unpacked first, and then the fiber should be poured into the blender.

■ Hollow PP Fiber is completely physical in concrete and does not change the original mix ratio of concrete.
